Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Apprentice to perform entry-level linework tasks under close supervision across high and low voltage systems. Responsibilities span pole work, hardware installation, basic switching, and supporting maintenance across transmission, distribution, and street lighting projects.

Upon advancement, apprentices gain increasing responsibility under supervision, including energized work under controlled conditions, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork within the Entergy

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience.
• Must obtain/maintain a valid Class A CDL.
• Pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam required; Safety Sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution systems.
• Operate Company vehicles and maintain records.
• Handle poles, install hardware, and assist in climbing tasks.
• Assist qualified linemen and perform routine inspections.
• Assist in tree trimming and conduit installations.
• Prepare reports and keep records.
