Entergy Corporation is seeking Apprentice 1st Year through 4th Year candidates for multiple Arkansas locations. The role involves climbing, installing and maintaining electrical distribution systems under supervision, with duties ranging from pole work to equipment installation and safety compliance.

Apprentices must complete training or have demonstrated linework experience; this position requires Fitness for Duty and compliance with safety and drug testing policies.

Responsibilities

• Use pole climbing equipment and have ability to handle self on pole in safe and efficient manner.
• Handle poles, install poles, assist in erection of wood/steel structures, including foundations.
• Make up and install guys and install secondaries.
• Connect services on energized conductors up to 600 volts.
• Install secondary racks, clevis, anchors, grounds, fittings for vertical construction.
• Perform simple transmission and distribution switching (qualified lineman assistance).
• Tie knots and splice rope.
• Assist in trimming trees.
• Assist qualified lineman in simple routine inspection and maintenance.
• Assist in installation of all types of conduit systems.
