Job summary
PG&E is seeking an Electric GIS Product Engineer to lead design and implementation of Esri ArcGIS-based solutions for the Electric Operations GIS. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with Architects and leads to ensure scalable, robust GIS systems.
You will guide prototypes, validate designs, and ensure alignment with Elevate program goals, PG&E IT standards, and security practices while delivering maximum business value
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Geo-Informatics/GIS, Information Technology, Geography/GIS or related field or equivalent
- 8 years of experience delivering GIS solutions based on ArcGIS technology including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, JavaScript API and Experience Builder OR Master's + 6 years in SDLC
- Experience designing and delivering Electric GIS solutions
- Deep understanding and experience with ArcGIS Utility Network Model
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Electric Operations GIS needs and align technical requirements to maximize value
- Ensure solutions meet requirements and designs
- Create system design models, specs, diagrams for developers
- Identify and implement process and technology improvements
- Present findings and recommendations to management and GIS architects
- Develop and maintain technical standards, patterns, roadmaps for Electric Operations GIS
- Oversee multiple Electric GIS deployment environments
- Participate in prototype development to evaluate options
- Provide SME guidance during build/test/deploy phases
