Job summary

PG&E Corporation is seeking an Electric GIS Product Engineer for the Elevate program to re-platform the GIS stack using Esri ArcGIS on AWS. Lead design, development, and implementation of Esri-based solutions for Electric Operations, collaborating with architects to ensure business value and alignment with IT standards.

You will translate user needs into technical requirements, review end-to-end system feasibility, and guide prototype development while ensuring scalable, resilient GIS

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Geo-Informatics/GIS, Information Technology, Geography/GIS, or equivalent required.
• 8 years of experience delivering GIS solutions based on ArcGIS tech incl. ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise/Online, JS API & Experience Builder; or Master’s with 6+ years in SDLC/QA.
• Experience in designing and delivering Electric GIS solutions.
• Deep understanding of ArcGIS Utility Network Model.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Electric Operations GIS needs and align designs to maximize business value.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements and align with technical designs.
• Create system design models, specifications, diagrams for dev teams.
• Identify and implement process and technology improvements.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and GIS architects.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, reference architectures and roadmaps for Electric Operations GIS.
• Oversee multiple Electric GIS deployment environments concurrently.
• Participate in prototype development for optimal solutions.
• Provide GIS SME guidance during design, build, test and deploy phases.
