Job summary

The City of Georgetown, Texas is hiring an Electric Engineering Analyst to support the Core Engineering and Operation Suite, GIS, and outage management systems. This role works under general supervision on geospatial and electric engineering tasks, with a start date on or after October 5, 2026.

Will update and maintain GIS layers, assist design staff, and ensure data integrity for planning and operations. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in GIS, Spatial Science, Electric Engineering or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS/Engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Experience using GIS and electric engineering modeling software.
Knowledge of ArcGIS, Milsoft WindMil, and outage management platforms.
Strong database querying skills (SQL) and reporting.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support Core Engineering and Operation Suite applications (Electric GIS, Engineering Analysis Model, Outage Management, Staking/Design).
Ensure data integrity across GIS layers and databases.
Assist in electric distribution design and planning studies.
Collaborate with Electric Engineering staff on system modeling and operational studies.
Perform data transfers and reporting to support decision making.
