Job summary

Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Texas seeks a Field Services Technician to evaluate member service needs and support the design, construction, inspection, and documentation of overhead and underground distribution facilities.

The role performs field engineering, staking, project coordination, and system inspections to ensure safe, reliable electric service while coordinating with members, developers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in electrical systems preferred.
• Experience in electric utility distribution design or related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret maps, drawings, staking sheets, and technical information; proficient with computers and mobile tech.

Responsibilities

• Model and support distribution projects from design through construction.
• Perform field engineering, staking, and project coordination.
• Collect field data, prepare staking sheets and drawings, and document projects.
• Coordinate with members, developers, and contractors; ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist in inspections and asset inventory; support GIS and other departments.
