Amp empirical is seeking a Field Distribution Specialist II to perform detailed field assessments and develop electric distribution layouts in line with company standards. You’ll work with internal teams and field crews to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

With 3+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and design/drafting software (Futura staking preferred), you’ll contribute to project packages, scheduling,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of electric distribution design or related utility experience.
• Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and design/drafting software; Futura staking software preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting/design, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.

Responsabilités

• Develop electric distribution layouts in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Create detailed construction packages with drawings and material specs.
• Update schedules and prepare standard reports for internal review.
• Ensure measurements, site conditions, and records are accurate and compliant with engineering specs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and field crews to clarify design intent and resolve issues.
• Support permit submissions and coordinate with senior designers on reconductor and tie-line projects.
• Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, and drafting tools to produce and interpret technical drawings and spatial data.
• Maintain high safety standards and adhere to NESC and RUS guidelines where applicable.
