Job summary

Leidos is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers in New Jersey to develop design packages for electrical distribution networks and coordinate with clients to ensure high-quality engineering output. The role supports a mix of field and office work, including site visits to collect data and confirm designs.

Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant experience, a engineering degree, and proficiency with NESC standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering distribution projects from kickoff through design approval with customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations: pole loading, guying, conductor sag/tension, voltage drop and flicker.
