Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Chicago, IL seeks an Election Technician to help test, deploy and maintain voting equipment installed in communities. Pay is $25 per hour, with on-site field work and travel to polling sites as needed.

You will troubleshoot devices, follow procedures and safety guidelines, and coordinate with project leads to ensure accurate operation ahead of Election Day. High school diploma and at least one year of tech experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience with general technology products such as computers, printers, scanners, or similar equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work within established quality management processes.

Responsibilities

• Performing pre-election testing on tabulators and voting equipment using established procedures and checklists.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and completing equipment repairs or implementing effective solutions.
• Escalating complex equipment concerns to project leads when additional support is needed.
• Conducting post-election testing to verify equipment functionality and readiness.
• Traveling to voting locations to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and support voting equipment on-site.

What You'll Do

As an Election Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting election operations before, during, and after Election Day by:

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to alternate between standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday.

Pay Details:

$25.00 per hour
