Job summary

County of Riverside is seeking Temporary Elections Assistants (TEAs) to support the Registrar of Voters for the November 3, 2026 election across Riverside County. Roles include vote-by-mail processing, front counter voter assistance, ballot drop-off logistics, and Vote Center support.

TEAs must stand for extended periods, be able to lift up to 30 lbs, and hold a California driver’s license. Training will be provided; overtime and weekend hours may apply, with travel to multiple sites as needed.

• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to enter registration information accurately and handle inquiries from voters.
• Effective communication with voters and the public.

Responsibilities

• Front counter customer service and voter assistance.
• Data entry of registration information and handling calls.
• Support for ballot drop-off locations and vote center operations.
• Assist with volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and reporting.
• Operate and assist with ballot counting, sorting, and related tasks.
• Assist with warehouse tasks including handling materials and equipment.
• Maintain data and reports; follow safety and process procedures.
