Job summary

Maricopa County Elections seeks a Temporary Mail Courier to support election operations by performing postal runs, dropping off and picking up ballots for imaging, and loading mail carts at vendor and MCTEC facilities. You will operate mail-opening machinery and assist with end-of-day mail room organization; overtime may be required during the election cycle.

A high school diploma or GED is required; one or more years of postal, driving, warehouse, election, or customer service experience are

• One or more years of postal experience is preferred.
• One or more years of professional driving experience is valued.
• One or more years of warehouse experience is valued.
• One or more years of election experience or customer service experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Pushes and pulls mail carts and equipment in the mail room.
• Conducts postal runs to the USPS and pickup/drop-off of ballots for imaging.
• Operates mail-opening machinery and assists with end-of-day mail room tasks.
• May work overtime during the election cycle and in varying hours.
