Job summary

Maricopa County Elections is seeking a Temporary Mail Courier to support ballot processing and mail operations. You will perform postal runs, load/unload ballot carts, and operate mail-opening equipment in a fast-paced environment during the election season.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid Arizona driver's license, and the ability to stand for long periods. Overtime and variable hours are common during the cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a registered voter or able to become one in AZ by hire.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by hire.
• Must pass pre-employment background/fingerprint investigation and may require driving training.
• Overtime required during election cycle.

Responsibilities

• Pushes and pulls baker racks up to 150 lb and postal cages up to 250 lb.
• Complete USPS mail runs and drops off ballots for imaging.
• Stand for long periods and operate mail-opening machinery.
• Assist with end-of-day mail room cleanup and organization.
