Job summary

Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians seeks an Elders Site Coordinator to support the Elders and Cultural Services Programs. You will work with Tribal staff to develop and implement ongoing programs for Elders at Tribal Satellites, ensuring excellence and confidentiality in service delivery.

You will coordinate training, collaborate with tribal and state agencies, and recruit Elders 55+ while maintaining organized records and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years experience working with Native American Elders.
• Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License and CDL within 1 year of hire.
• Current CPR Certification and First Aid Training.
• Flexible hours and willingness to take on extra duties.

Responsibilities

• Work a 40-hour week as scheduled for Elders programs.
• Comply with GTB policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of participants and comply with Privacy Act.
• Attend monthly site coordinator meetings.
• Plan and organize ongoing staff training with the Department Manager.
• Collaborate with Tribal programs and state agencies.
• Coordinate with Elders Services task force staff to support service strategies.
• Plan weekly programs for Elders, families, and community to meet objectives.
• Recruit Elders aged 55+ and conduct outreach/home visits as needed.
• Maintain records and submit monthly activity reports.
• Arrange van pickup and organize on-site supervision when required.
• Perform other duties related to service delivery.
