Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to identify alternate resources for tribal members and help with enrollment processes. The role requires advocacy within health programs and collaboration with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies to maximize access to benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or 5 years of health administration experience.
• Direct experience with Medicare Part A, B & D, Medicaid, SSI, VA, and other medical billing is required.
• Must have knowledge of health benefits eligibility processes and client advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Identify alternate resources for tribal members and assist with eligibility applications.
• Collaborate with local and regional agencies (SSA, welfare, state programs) to maximize benefits.
• Apply PRC Services rules to determine eligibility and coordinate with providers.
• Maintain up-to-date enrollment materials, forms, and benefit brochures.
