Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking caring Household Assistants to support elders with meals, laundry, and housekeeping in our Small House neighborhoods. The role emphasizes dignity, elder respect, and a home-like environment where residents live with independence.

We offer a team-oriented culture where Partners collaborate to deliver person-centered care. Roles include Full Time and Part Time options with starting pay from $15.00/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• No certification required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with elders, cooking and light housekeeping preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan meals according to dietary needs/preferences/medical issues.
• Seek input from elders for meal planning.
• Prep ingredients; prepare and serve meals and snacks.
• Set up table; maintain temperature and safety of food.
• Inventory and stock supplies.
• Clean rooms, floors, equipment, and kitchen to keep a safe, neat environment.
• Ensure laundry is completed and organized.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and staff.
• Answer phones and participate in team meetings to set house standards.
• Respond to inquiries and work as a team to meet needs.
