Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate Household Assistants for our Small House neighborhoods in Ohio. You will help with cooking, laundry and housekeeping for up to 12 elders in a home-like setting.

The position offers Full-Time & Part-Time options, with shifts from 8am-4:30pm and starting pay of $15.00 per hour, based on experience. We emphasize person-centered care, teamwork, and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• No certification required.
• Must be a high school student who has reached legal working age to work.
• Experience with elders, cooking for a family or group, and light housekeeping/laundry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist elders with meal prep and serving.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and kitchen cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment for residents.
• Protect confidentiality of residents and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings to improve house operations.
