Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; bachelor degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with older adults or in an adult day care environment preferred.
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.
• Self-motivated, creative, flexible and results driven.
• Ability to be a productive team member/player.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Coordinator in implementing activity program, including physical and mental stimulation activities.
• Engage in both group and one-to-one activities as assigned.
• Assist with setup and tear down of activity supplies or equipment.
• Assist in preparation, serving and cleanup at lunch and snack times.
• Provide routine and specialized assistance to participants as needed, including assisting in the bathroom, with lunch, snacks and dressing.
• Observe and report any changes in participant's behavior or physical condition.
• Other related duties as appropriate or assigned.
