Job summary

Extended Care LLC in Hastings, Illinois is seeking a dedicated Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily living with engaging activities that foster social interaction and meaningful engagement.

You will facilitate group and individual programs, help create activity calendars, document admissions and transfers, and encourage Resident Council participation in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
