Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking an ELD Teacher for district-wide classrooms, including virtual settings, under the direction of the principal. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and Maryland educator certification or eligibility. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $119,522 with benefits and potential bonuses as defined in bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland educator certification or eligibility.
• Knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum, and instructional techniques.
• Knowledge of data analysis.
• Technology competency and proficiency with databases, internet, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises students in-person and virtually.
• Plans and implements instructional programs aligned to system goals.
• Prepares lesson plans based on curricula and learning environments.
• Creates a conducive instructional environment for student development.
• Communicates standards, achievements and deficiencies to students and parents.
• Maintains student records and monitors progress.
• Oversees use and care of textbooks and equipment.
• Collaborates with administrators, teachers, parents and community.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees.
