Montgomery County Public Schools in Gaithersburg is seeking an English Language Development (ELD) teacher for Grade 6 and Grade 8 (Level 1) at Gaithersburg Middle School. This 1.0 FTE position falls under the MCEA 10-month calendar.

Under the principal's direction, you will plan ELD instruction, collaborate with administrators and teachers, support EM learners and families, and communicate program details to parents.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland teacher certification in ESOL/ELD.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and provide English language development instruction for ELD-identified students.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers and staff on EML student needs.
• Explain the ELD program to parents and serve as a resource on cultural and linguistic differences.
• Support students in adjusting to the academic and cultural environment within MCPS.
