Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks an IMMEDIATE: Teacher, ELD & Focus at Gaithersburg ES, 1.0 FTE. The role splits 0.5 ELD and 0.5 Focus to support multilingual learners through Tier 1 instruction and Tier II/III interventions.

The ELD teacher collaborates with administrators, counselors and teachers, sharing program information with families and providing near-term instructional support to EM learners in a dynamic K-5 setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in English language development instruction in K-12.
• Knowledge of ELD program structure and support.
• Ability to collaborate with administrators, counselors and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide ELD instruction for eligible students.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors and staff about EML needs.
• Explain the ELD program to parents and guardians.
• Support students in adjusting academically and culturally.
