YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a Full-Time Early Learning Center (ELC) Instructor in Davenport, IA. The role focuses on the health, safety and welfare of children, providing direct supervision, leadership and positive role modeling in daily activities and field trips.

Responsibilities include promoting literacy and early education, observing and noting child progress, and ensuring a secure learning environment while adhering to Creative Curriculum guidelines and YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA/Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR/AED/FA certification required.
• Background check and required trainings for child care workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to children in your classroom at all times.
• Promote literacy and early education through age-appropriate activities.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate experiences, including storytelling, games and songs.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment in accordance with YMCA policies.
