This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Youth Development Coordinator intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing while developing, organizing and implementing high quality YMCA youth program(s), primarily for our Early Learning Center. A key role in this position is facilitating the operations of the Early Learning Center under the supervision of the Director of Youth Development, ELC.

Works with teachers and other personnel with regards to the operations of programs, including program creation, promotion, planning, and delivery. Assure that the staff is fulfilling all requirements set by local, state, federal, and other standards necessary to operate a fully functional and licensed childcare facility and/or quality youth enrichment programs.
In Conjunction with the Coordinator, regularly scheduled instructional time in each classroom daily.
Ensure incident/accident reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
Reports participant hours to DHS provider portal in a timely and accurate manner.
Promotes program enrollment and participation.
Assists with planning and facilitation of Y-wide community and family events.
Must exemplify appropriate behavior and act as a role model for participants showing the core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Performs other duties, as necessary, to assure excellent operation of the YMCA youth development programs.
