Job summary

Caulfield Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Co-Educator to provide floating coverage at our Malvern Campus. The role involves moving between groups as lunch cover and supporting children with a range of needs.

This 12-month fixed term opportunity runs three days per week from 11:00 to 14:15, focusing on early childhood learning and supportive classroom environments. Proficiency in Mandarin is required and WWCC must be current.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin.
• Experience working with children with additional needs will be highly advantageous.
• Diploma of Early Childhood and Care.
• Experience with three, four and five year olds is essential.
• Current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Asthma training; Employment Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student’s physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.
• Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood.
• Support the ELC teacher in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre.
• Contribute to the developmental records for each individual student, both written and verbal, under the guidance of the teacher.
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour.
