The role requires RI ELA certification, 5 years of middle school ELA teaching, and collaboration with district leadership. The stipend is $3,000 annually, with two installments in December and June.

Qualifications

• Valid Rhode Island certification as a middle school ELA teacher.
• Five years of successful middle school ELA teaching experience.
• Knowledge of ELA program requirements evidenced by advanced degree, coursework, training or experience.
• Any exceptions to the above may be acceptable to the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure access to rigorous ELA coursework and materials aligned to state standards.
• Coordinate ELA instruction with school and district administration and teachers.
• Identify areas for program improvement and monitor progress with leadership teams.
• Facilitate professional learning and participate in ELA leadership meetings.
