Job summary

Barnstable High School in Barnstable, Massachusetts is seeking ELA educators to join the R 3460 Secondary ELA Curriculum Implementation Team. Members will help implement the new HMH Into Literature curriculum for grades 6-12, act as teacher-leaders, and guide peers through data-driven instruction and collaboration after school and in PLCs.

This stipend position requires a MA license and current classroom assignment (ELA/ELL or SPED at 6-11).

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MA license.
• Current assignment as a classroom ELA teacher, ELL teacher, or SPED teacher at the 6-11 level.
• Possess a strong growth mindset, collaborative working style, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Seek to develop leadership skills and has an interest in serving as a peer leader.
• Commit to improving learning outcomes through strong ELA instruction and the implementation of HMH Into Literature instructional materials

Responsibilities

• Serve as a guiding coalition representing diverse perspectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and serve as leaders among peers.
• Build and share knowledge of best practices for research-informed instruction.
• Support consistent implementation of the HMH Into Literature instructional materials.
• Turn new learning over to teacher teams during Common Planning or PLCs.
