Job summary

Cambium Learning Group is seeking a Test Developer I for a Remote First role focused on creating and reviewing assessment items and supporting state projects. You will collaborate with the content team, review rubrics, and help shape item pools under senior guidance.

The ideal candidate has teaching or content development experience in educational assessment and strong attention to detail, with the ability to work remotely within the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field plus 3–6 years’ experience or a Master’s degree with 1–4 years’ experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience teaching English and/or developing content in an Educational Assessment environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with U.S. Education and Education Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Write items following state item specifications for different projects.
• Translate grade-level blueprints into item pool development plans.
• Monitor item pool development under a project lead’s guidance.
• Lead item review meetings and rubric validation meetings when asked.
• Possibly lead grade level/grade band development with supervision.
• Participate in group reviews and edit items as needed.
• Conduct preliminary and content reviews independently.
• Communicate with clients with supervision as needed.
