Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to serve as a content and assessment expert for K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will develop and review content-specific test items and collaborate with educators, AI tools, and Pearson teams to ensure quality and accessibility.

You will leverage AI-generated assets, manage writers, and support test construction activities, while maintaining strong communication with customers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in AI-supported content development or strong potential to leverage AI in content creation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, assign, and train item/passage writers and educators.
• Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Support test construction and review of test forms.
• Consult with customers and participate in planning, status, and review meetings.
• Work with test development managers, psychometricians, and Pearson groups.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies in educational content creation.
