Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an English Learner (EL) Teacher to support identified students and lead the EL program in alignment with the school-wide Language Instruction Educational Plan (LIEP). The role reports to the Principal and emphasizes classroom instruction, assessment, and collaboration with families.

The position is a Certified Schedule/Full–time, 10 months, with responsibilities including lesson planning, progress monitoring, PLC participation, and maintenance of student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement EL program of study meeting student needs.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
