Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an SEI Technician II for the English Language Acquisition program at Kino Junior High in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time role supports ELL identification, screening, testing, placement and instruction under SEI supervision.

Starting immediately, you will prepare records, assist in instructional delivery, and serve as a liaison between the ELAD office and campus staff. Bilingual Spanish skills plus experience with children are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education completed.
• Associate degree or 60 college credits or pass ParaPro Test.
• Pass ELAD language proficiency test.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identification, screening, testing and placement of ELL students.
• Assist in delivering individual or small group instruction with supervision.
• Serve as liaison between ELAD office and school site.
• Interpret at parent-teacher conferences under SEI teacher direction.
• Prepare and process records and materials for documentation.
• Maintain open communication with site and district personnel.
• Assist in training new SEI technicians at school site.
• Attend staff development in-services and meetings.
