Job summary

Osseo Area Schools in Maple Grove, Minnesota, seeks a Coordinator, English Learner (EL) to lead the district’s EL programming, including planning, development, evaluation, and improvement of services for multilingual learners.

The role oversees staff, budgets, and district-wide translation/interpretation services, and collaborates with leadership to advance equitable EL outcomes through professional learning and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English Learner education or a related field.
• Five years of experience teaching English Learners in a classroom.
• Valid Minnesota Teaching License in English as a Second Language.

Responsibilities

• Aligns EL initiatives with district mission and values.
• Develops a shared vision for EL services.
• Leads design and refinement of EL programming with staff and communities.
• Plans and implements continuous improvement with data-driven outcomes.
• Coordinates professional learning aligned with district goals.
• Manages budgets and resources effectively for EL services.
• Supervises direct reports and provides feedback and evaluations.

Education

Master’s degree in English Learner education or related field

MN Teaching License in ESL
