Job summary

Orono Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for English Language Learner (ELL) support in Minnesota. The role focuses on assisting ELL students under the guidance of the ELL teacher and collaborating with general education staff to adapt curriculum to language needs.

Responsibilities include helping students with English concepts and skills to function meaningfully in mainstream classes. Compensation includes an hourly wage with a differential and district health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to handle situations with a calm demeanor.
• Work under the direction of ELL Teacher(s) and collaborate with General Education Staff
• Ability to adjust and modify curriculum relative to student language and educational needs.
• Flexibility and a cooperative nature are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to ELL students under the guidance of the ELL teacher.
• Support English language learner students needing academic assistance and support with general education curriculum.
• Help students with English concepts and skills, especially in their acquisition to function meaningfully in mainstream classes.
