Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional, English Learner (EL) to assist with implementing Individualized English Learner Program objectives under the supervision of the EL teacher and the Director of Federal Programs.

You will work with individual students or small groups to help them access English language instruction and grade-level content, maintaining a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual with English preferred.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to work with EL students in groups or individually.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Commitment to ethical handling of confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assists EL students and classroom teachers with instructional objectives.
• Supports in small groups or individual student learning activities.
• Assists in reinforcing material and strategies for EL students.
• Maintains detailed records of EL student interventions.
• Communicates effectively with students, families, and staff.
