Walker Partners Engineers | Surveyors in Texas seeks an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our civil engineering and M.E.P. teams on water and wastewater projects across Central Texas.

You will focus on electrical systems powering treatment plants, pump stations, and intakes, helping design safe, reliable facilities for communities. You will prepare electrical plans and specifications, perform calculations, conduct on-site observations, and collaborate with SCADA professionals as part

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Familiarity with electrical modelling software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to job sites and other Walker Partners offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure to produce construction documents.
• Evaluate existing electrical systems and develop practical, cost-effective improvements to support facility rehabilitation or expansion.
• Support preparation of electrical plans, construction specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Conduct on-site observations of construction progress.
• Interface with SCADA design professionals.
