Job summary

Walker Partners is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Austin, TX to join our civil engineering and survey team. You will assist project teams in designing drainage and water resources systems and prepare master plans and reports for municipal projects, gaining exposure to the full engineering process.

You will work alongside seasoned engineers and construction managers, supporting bidding, construction administration, and project coordination while building hands-on experience across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure or water resources.
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to develop, analyze, and quality-check civil plans and specs.
• Support planning, design, and permitting across municipal and water resource projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet client goals.
• Learn local, state, and federal regulations and Walker Partners' standards.
