Job summary

Walker Partners Engineers | Surveyors in Texas seeks an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our civil engineering and M.E.P. teams on water and wastewater projects across Central Texas.

You will focus on electrical systems powering treatment plants, pump stations, and intakes, helping design safe, reliable facilities for communities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Familiarity with electrical modelling software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to job sites and other Walker Partners offices.

Job description

As an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) at Walker Partners, you will work alongside our experienced civil engineering teams and M.E.P. partners to play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of water and wastewater engineering projects across Central Texas.

This role focuses on the electrical systems that power and control critical water and wastewater facilities such as treatment plants, pump stations, and water intakes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop electrical designs that help communities operate safe and reliable facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure to produce construction documents
