Job summary

TC Energy, based in Newfolden, MN, is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Measurement Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot compressor stations and related measurement equipment across our North American pipeline system. The role requires strong problem solving, self-starting attitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and solid knowledge of SWA and safe work practices.
• Lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures knowledge.
• Basic engine mechanics understanding.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software.
• Must be an expert in Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC).
• Preferred: Associate degree with engine/electricity coursework; experience with Allen Bradley or Bristol controls; familiarity with test equipment and gas measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, repair, and maintain compressor stations and related facilities.
• Perform routine and major maintenance on natural gas driven equipment.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Operate and maintain PLCs, control systems, transmission equipment, and gas measurement devices.
• Recordkeeping and documentation including DOT audits and calibration records.
• Collaborate with field personnel for maintenance planning and emergency response.
