Job summary

CenterPoint Energy in Houston seeks an experienced senior project manager to lead end-to-end delivery of high‑voltage transmission and substation projects within a long‑term capital program.

You will own scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality and risk, build an integrated project team with OE and EPC partners, enforce stage-gate governance and drive performance across engineering, controls, procurement and construction.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in engineering/project/construction management within electric transmission and/or substation.
• Demonstrated EPC delivery leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with integrated schedule/cost/risk controls and formal change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide project delivery oversight with stage-gate governance and transparent leadership updates.
• Manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders (OE, EPC, regulators, landowners).
• Own the integrated master schedule and budget; monitor cost forecasts and KPIs.
• Lead EPC and OE contracting, procurement strategy, and commercial risk management.
• Coordinate construction, safety, and commissioning activities through energization and closeout.
