Job summary

Styropek is seeking an EHSS Coordinator in Painesville, OH to develop and manage comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will promote a culture of safety and sustainability across the site.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, training delivery, incident investigations, and leading sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact and improve site safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in EHSS roles with proven program management.
• Preferred CSP/CSHM/CES/CHMM certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, implement and maintain EHSS programs, training, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.
• Manage risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver training programs (classroom and CBT) and coordinate contractor, vendor, and visitor training.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Promote sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental footprint and lead emergency response plans and drills.
