Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. in Willoughby, OH is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor to lead all EHSS initiatives for the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) experience.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial safety practices.
• Experience leading audits, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs.
• Understanding of DMAIC problem-solving methodology and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to influence teams and drive a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs and foster a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility
• Develop and implement long-term EHSS strategies, annual objectives, and performance metrics
• Promote employee engagement through training, coaching, and daily interaction that reinforces safe work practices
• Champion sustainability and KAITEKI initiatives that support environmental responsibility and operational excellence
