Job summary

PPG is seeking an EHS Specialist for the Delaware, OH site to manage a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program. You will report to the EHS Manager and promote best practices to protect workers while ensuring regulatory compliance across Federal, State, and Local requirements.

You will lead and train teams, guide incident investigations, and support capital projects with risk assessment and safety analysis. The role emphasizes safety culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related science.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA and related safety regs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG policies.
• Provide leadership for EHS training.
• Evaluate EHS impacts of capital projects and ensure risk assessments are completed.
• Manage safety programs including Job Safety Analysis and MOC.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions using 5-Why and other methods.
• Provide audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits.
• Lead emergency response activities and safety committees.
• Develop programs to reduce EHS risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Complete environmental reports and manage site permits.
• Oversee Waste Management Program and sustainability metrics.
