Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an EHSS Coordinator to execute our Safety Management System, strengthen regulatory compliance, and drive risk reduction across engineering labs and corporate locations. You will partner with leaders to identify hazards, implement controls, and improve safety and health performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of EHSS experience in labs, product testing environments, manufacturing, or corporate facilities.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance programs including LOTO, Hazard Communication, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and PPE.
• Experience conducting hazard assessments, JHAs, and risk assessments for equipment, testing activities, and process changes.
• Experience investigating incidents and managing corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety training and engaging team members in safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate occupational health programs including medical surveillance, respirator medical evaluations, fit testing, audiometric testing, and related compliance requirements.
• Support safety reviews of engineering test plans, prototype equipment, laboratory fixtures, and non-routine testing activities to identify hazards and coordinate risk mitigation.
• Manage forklift operator training and certification, including evaluations, retraining requirements, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct workplace hazard assessments and JHAs with cross-functional teams to identify hazards and implement risk reduction.
• Perform routine safety inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance checks.
• Investigate workplace injuries and near misses to determine root causes and support corrective actions.
• Manage corrective actions in VelocityEHS and verify effectiveness.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs and annual compliance training.
• Assist with industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments.
• Support chemical safety, SDS management, labeling compliance, and employee training.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce injury risk and improve workstation design.
• Maintain EHSS records and performance metrics.
• Promote safety culture through observations and hazard reporting.
