At Bristol Myers Squibb in San Diego, we are seeking a Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Environmental Compliance to lead and continuously improve EHSS programs, ensuring global standards and local regulations are met.

You will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and hands-on support across R&D, engineering, and site operations, embedding EHSS requirements into daily work and promoting a proactive safety culture within the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of EHSS experience in regulated environments (biotech/pharma/manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of EHSS regulations across federal/state/local jurisdictions.
• Experience implementing and managing EHSS programs and audits.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications such as CSP/CIH/CHMM preferred.

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of EHSS programs to align with standards and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership across EHSS programs including hazardous waste management and environmental compliance.
• Embed EHSS requirements into operations with R&D, engineering, and facilities teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness; liaison with agencies and stakeholders.
• Lead EHSS audits, inspections, and CAPA activities.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and engage leadership at all levels.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
