Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an EHSS Intern to support safety and environmental initiatives at the Summit, NJ site. You will help implement programs, collect data, and assist with communications under the EHSS team guidance.

The role offers on-site work 4–5 days per week, with opportunities to learn how EHSS intersects with manufacturing and patient-care goals, while developing professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement of the site EHSS culture with safety communications and engagement activities.
• Maintain EHSS internal websites and SharePoint sites to keep resources accurate and accessible.
• Assist with data collection, documentation, inspections, communications, and follow-up actions under EHSS guidance.
• Learn how EHSS program requirements support manufacturing operations.
• Prepare materials for EHSS operational meetings and track follow-up actions.
• Assist with implementing EHSS programs aligned with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Collaborate with site teams to strengthen the EHSS management system.
