Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a seasoned HSEQ professional to lead the safety and environmental program within the Wichita area. You will develop policies, conduct audits, and drive regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, and related agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in safety/environmental management, with strong communication skills and proficiency in safety management software. On-site position in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in safety and/or environmental management roles.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs per regulations.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and noncompliance.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents; determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Manage permits, reporting, and regulatory filings related to environmental compliance.
• Design and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
