Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned EHS Training Specialist to deliver classroom and on-the-job training across SAFE programs for authorized associates.

You will maintain training records for audits (OSHA, BSI, ISO) and serve as a subject matter expert in EHS compliance. The role requires authorizations in fall protection, LOTO, and hoisting & rigging, plus 2–3 years in industrial maintenance or 2 years EHS or 5 years training.

Qualifications

• Authorized in Fall Protection, Lockout and Hoisting & Rigging.
• 2-3 years Industrial Maintenance experience or 2 years of EHS experience or 5 years of training experience.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) or Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Excellent communication skills – including group and individual presentation skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on production schedules, including weekends.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Travel for training and maintaining certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Present delegated EHS training to authorized associates and ensure understanding.
• Ensure training is completed on time and documented per policies.
• Provide training support to on-the-job trainers, auditors, and associates.
• Provide Job Instruction (JI), practice and assessment per requirements.
• Maintain certifications to teach Arc Flash NFPA 70E, Fall Protection and Hoisting & Rigging.
• Train for all authorized compliance topics (Arc Flash, Confined Space, Hot Work, LOTO, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, Radiation Awareness).
• Coordinate and maintain training/documentation per Risk Management requirements.
• Train and Audit machine-specific trainers for consistency.
• Support continuous improvement via refresher sessions and coaching.
• Assist with plant-level New Hire Orientation and other programs as directed by Training Manager.
• Promote teamwork and support plant leadership activities.
