Job summary

The technician will participate in EHS tours and support safety committees, with a schedule of M 7 AM - F 4 PM and a focus on preventing accidents and injuries at the facility.

Qualifications

• High School equivalent with 2-3 years EHS experience.
• Background with fire department or rescue preferred.
• Familiarity with MIOSHA/OSHA/DOT/EPA regs.
• Experience with EHS training and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accident/incident investigations.
• Maintain files and records pertaining to environmental, safety and industrial hygiene.
• Assist with the plant safety committee.
• Assist management in preparing EHS presentations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with applicable EHS laws and standards.
• Complete various environmental reports in a timely manner.
• Assist with hazardous waste management and shipments.
