Job summary

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking an entry-level EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs at the Bronx facility. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, safety training, inspections, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and maintaining essential documentation.

The position promotes a strong safety culture and requires collaboration with management, regulatory agencies, and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA, NYSDOL, and other applicable regulations
• Ability to support inspections, hazard assessments, investigations, and corrective actions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training in classroom and workplace settings
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with accurate documentation

Responsibilities

• Assist with updating and implementing EHS policies and programs
• Support plant compliance with OSHA, NYSDOL, NYCDEP and other regs
• Administer workers’ compensation claims including incident investigations and OSHA records
• Serve as primary contact for work-related injuries and report incidents to EHS Manager
• Conduct routine safety inspections and workplace audits
• Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend modifications
• Coordinate safety training and maintain training records
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets and organize safety documentation
• Participate in incident investigations and track corrective actions
• Support environmental compliance activities (waste handling, spill response, storage)
• Assist with temporary modified-duty and return-to-work processes
• Other duties as assigned by management
