Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Technician to help implement and maintain workplace health, safety, and environmental programs across facilities. You will perform inspections, collect samples, assist investigations, and help keep documents and regulatory reports up to date.

The role involves supporting safety training, maintaining PPE inventories, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in EHS roles.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to perform fieldwork and inspections with attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with EHS software a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
• Collect samples and perform basic environmental monitoring (air, water, noise, etc.) as required.
• Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, documenting findings and supporting root cause analysis.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including inspection logs, training records, and regulatory reports.
• Support the delivery of safety training and safety meetings.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of PPE, safety equipment, and emergency supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with emergency response drills and preparedness activities.

Position Description

The EHS Technician assists in the implementation and maintenance of workplace health, safety, and environmental programs. Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
