Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, seeks an EHS System & Audit Program Engineer in Jeffersonville, Indiana. You will develop and manage EHS systems, audits, and performance tracking while collaborating with Operations and Maintenance to improve safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes data-driven improvements, training material development, and cross-functional partnership to ensure robust EHS programs across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in EHS systems and audits.
• Strong understanding of EHS management systems and compliance.
• Strong technical writing and document standardization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a sound Safety Management System and EHS programs.
• Monitor and improve site-wide EHS document control system, including policies, programs, procedures, SOPs, manuals, and records.
• Establish and maintain centralized document repositories (e.g. SharePoint or DMS platforms).
• Translate technical inputs (engineering, operations, P&IDs) into usable field procedures.
• Support implementation of structured PSM, ISO-aligned frameworks, internal standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations and Maintenance) to ensure the effectiveness of programs and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement of document workflows and system efficiency.
• Develop and maintain EHS data tracking systems and dashboards.
• Analyze trends to support risk identification and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and traceability.
• Support development of training materials related to procedures and systems.
